River Valley Ranch Golf Club Reduces Local Rates
and Tees Off Free Membership and Rewards Program

Carbondale, CO - Instead of following the national trend of raising greens fee rates, Carbondale's River Valley Ranch Golf Club has chosen to reduce its rates for local area residents. Year-round fees are now $39 for walking 18 holes, or $49 including cart, and in addition the golf club has launched CrownClub, an innovative, free membership and rewards program.

Earning free golf rewards is just one part of Crown Golf Properties' free CrownClub Membership and Rewards program that kicked off this week at River Valley Ranch Golf Club, conveniently located just outside of Aspen. There are also member-only events and tournaments and other exclusive benefits of CrownClub membership.

Launched with overwhelming success last year in Florida, Crown Golf is now expanding the program to other clubs, starting with River Valley Ranch Golf Club.

The scenic 250-acre residential golf and resort community located at the base of spectacular Mt. Sopris, will offer residents of Garfield, Pitkin, Eagle and Gunnison counties the opportunity to register at the River Valley Ranch Golf shop for the free CrownClub Membership and Rewards program. Participants will receive preferred rates and an "Instant Reward" immediately and earn points for each round played as well as for golf shop and qualifying food/beverage purchases. Reward points accrue to earn CrownRewards certificates, which can be redeemed for free golf at all participating Crown Golf courses, including the four courses on Florida's west coast.

"We found that our local golfers respond in great numbers to this program. They appreciate being rewarded for what they love to do...playing great golf. The CrownClub Membership and Rewards program delivers what golfers value...special benefits, great rewards and more great golf," stated Crown Golf Properties' Vice President of Sales and Marketing Roger Reveyrand.

CrownClub members receive a card that is scanned at each purchase so points accrue automatically. Once 500 points have been collected, a certificate is mailed out for a 50-percent-off round of golf. At the 1,000 point mark, a free round of golf certificate is automatically mailed. Then the earning cycle begins again. Members earn 50 points for each 9-hole or twilight round, 100 points for each 18-hole round and one point per dollar spent on qualifying golf shop and food and beverage purchases. More than 6,000 CrownRewards certificates have already been mailed program-wide. Upon registration, each CrownClub member also receives a special "Instant Reward" which entitles the golfer to a special offer on a future visit.

Crown Golf Properties, a Glenview, Ill.-based golf management corporation, operates 18 golf and resort facilities throughout the U.S. including such notable properties as the Snowmass Club and Lodge in Aspen, Colorado, the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa in Southern California, and The Golf Club Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona.
